The Impact of Volunteering

Our volunteers reach a variety of people, changing lives across Minnesota.

In 2009, our volunteers:

  • mentored over 14,000 children
  • provided independent living services to nearly 30,000 seniors
  • provided over 21,000 hours of disaster recovery relief
  • worked with over 200 kids in foster care
  • spent nearly 775,000 hours working with youth and education
  • worked with over 300 children with parents in prison
  • over 650,000 hours providing support for food distribution programs
